Beverley Gray

Author of The Boreal Herbal (possibly the best northern plant guide ever) and owner of Aroma Borealis. I have had the great opportunity to join many of Beverley’s Yukon workshops from 2005-2016, she’s a fantastic herbalist and is one of my greatest teachers.

Kami McBride

Down to Earth, passionate about plants and very knowledgeable! I’ve recently discovered Kami’s work (in the past few years) and am completely enamored. The Handcrafted Healing Herbal Oils online course is an absolute gem and The Herbal Kitchen book a goldmine. Check out her other courses here like My Herbal Kitchen, she’s a wonderful teacher.

Azure Standard

Been part of Azure since the mid-2000’s and I order bulk organic goods and other specialties that can be hard to find elsewhere.

Mountain Rose Herbs

This company provides organic and sustainably sourced herbs & spices. When I can’t cultivate or wild-harvest an herb that I’m interested in getting to know better, I seek out Mt. Rose Herbs for the best quality and the largest variety!

Janice Schofield-Eaton

Author of Discovering Wild Plants; the first plant book I purchased in Alaska. It’s still one of my favorites. Janice continues teaching herbalism, now in New Zealand. I helped her edit this little gem: The Wonders of Nettles.

John J. Slattery

John is a vitalist herbalist whose writings I resonate with deeply. Check out his website and substack for inspiring plant writings!

Rosalee de la Foret

Author of The Alchemy of Herbs and Wild Remedies. I completed Rosalee’s Taste of Herbs online course and am continuously impressed with her knowledge and amazing ability to distill complex material into info that nearly anyone can comprehend. One of the best online resources about herbs you can find. And her photographs are really beautiful.

Robert Dale Rogers

Author of The Fungal Pharmacy, Mushroom Essences, Herbal Allies & so many others. Robert is a renowned herbalist and medicinal mushroom expert.  His work on plants and mushrooms is massive, entertaining and incredibly informative.  Highly recommend his work, I’ve learned a lot from him.

Made Whole Herbs

Kate Smith, certified clinical herbalist and holistic health coach and is a passionate seeker of a healthier world. Check out her work! I have gotten to know Kate over the years and she is one filled with integrity, common sense and many folks whom have been helped through her guidance.

Matthew Wood

I have several of Matthew’s books and find them to be incredibly insightful and useful regarding plant medicine and energetics.

Henriette’s Herbal

Super solid online reference space with added charm and wit. I’ve often found myself referencing her site when looking up info on a ‘new to me’ plant.

Learning Herbs

A monthly or yearly subscription based website that is chock full of herbal monographs, a question and answer board, and plant ID & medicine making videos. Highly recommend for the person just beginning their plant path for solid reference points. I found a lot of value here for many years.

Rosemary Gladstar

Rosemary is one of the great living elders of herbalism. Her work is vast and rich with health and healing information for one to work with. If you like plant medicine, check out her books, they are so good.

jim mcdonald

Based in Michigan, jim is a wealth of knowledge and a wellspring of humor regarding plants and plant medicine. He’s recently offered online courses and I’m sure will continue his epic plant walks in person soon. Highly engaging and well versed on the plants of the mid-west.

7song

Writing on plant ID, herbal medicine and running a free herbal clinic and a botanical school, 7song brings a whole heap of experience and expertise to the herbal realm. Based in New York.

Kiva Rose & Jesse Wolf Hardin

Herbalists, artists, story tellers and authors. Been following these two for well over a decade and have enjoyed their writings immensely. My favorites are The Plant Healers Path, The Enchanted Healer and 21st Century Herbalists.

The Rodale Institute

A place to land when you want to find out more about organic and regenerative agriculture. Beginning in 1940 with J.I. Rodale, it has now grown into an incredible web of expertise and science backed evidence into the benefits of organic agriculture.

Dr. Sarah Carnes

A naturopathic doctor, Sarah is one who helps you seek the root cause of an issue/s and whose no-nonsense, truth telling approach really resonates.
